Our Reception children have been busy embracing all things spring this week, taking part in a whole range of seasonal activities alongside our Easter celebrations. ☀️🌼 Their curiosity has been in full bloom, and it’s been wonderful to see their imaginations come alive.
From colourful spring-themed crafts to wonderfully messy sensory play, the children have explored textures, colours, and nature in so many creative ways. They’ve spent plenty of time outdoors too, enjoying the fresh air, spotting signs of spring, and working together beautifully — building teamwork, confidence, and independence every step of the way. 💛
One of the highlights has been making their very own flower potions and perfumes, mixing petals, herbs, and natural materials to create magical spring scents. They also got hands-on with sensory soil, digging, squishing, and experimenting as they learned through play. And their realistic flower drawings were simply stunning — full of detail, observation, and pride.
It’s safe to say the children have had an amazing time exploring, creating, and discovering. 🐞🌷 Spring has definitely sprung in Reception, and we couldn’t be happier with the joy and enthusiasm they’ve brought to every activity.
