Our Reception children at The Stables Nursery have been busy little gardeners today, embracing the joys of the outdoors and learning all about how plants grow and thrive. 🌱💧

The children took great pride in helping to care for our nursery plants, carefully watering them and making sure they had everything they needed. Through this hands-on experience, they explored what helps plants stay healthy, from warm sunshine and fresh water to gentle care and plenty of patience. 🌼

Our practitioners supported meaningful discussions about the life cycle of plants, encouraging the children to think about how living things grow and change over time. The children asked thoughtful questions, shared their ideas, and developed a deeper understanding of nature and the world around them.

It was wonderful to see their curiosity blossom as they worked together, showing teamwork, responsibility, and kindness while caring for our shared garden space. These moments not only support their knowledge of the natural world but also help build confidence, independence, and a sense of pride in their achievements.

At The Stables Nursery, we value opportunities for children to connect with nature through real-life experiences like this—helping them to develop a lifelong appreciation for the environment.

We are so excited to continue watching our plants grow—and to see our young gardeners flourish alongside them! 🌿✨
