Today the children at The Willows Nursery enjoyed a wonderfully busy and engaging day filled with hands‑on activities and sensory exploration.
Our play spaces were full of excitement as the children moved between a variety of stimulating experiences designed to support their creativity, fine‑motor skills and imagination.
They explored sensory play, getting stuck into different textures, colours and materials. Our building activities encouraged problem‑solving and teamwork, while water play with bubbles and sponge bricks added plenty of giggles as they poured, squeezed, splashed and experimented with cause and effect.
Over in our creative area, the children enjoyed gluing and sticking, producing their own colourful masterpieces. And of course, there was lots of energy to burn in the dance room, where music, movement and big smiles filled the space.
We also had a special celebration for Chopstick Day, giving the children a chance to explore and learn about another part of the world. They got involved in noodle sensory play, discovering new textures, smells and patterns, and tried their hand at chopstick painting — a fun, creative way to develop dexterity while learning about different cultures and traditions. Overall, it was a fun-filled day packed with play, learning and smiles, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration, creativity and cultural discovery. The children were curious, engaged and full of joy from start to finish.
