Last week, our Early Learners headed out on a very exciting adventure — a sticker hunt in the town centre!
The children set off with big smiles and plenty of enthusiasm, ready to explore their local community and practice lots of important skills along the way.
On their journey, they stopped to look at the water fountain, taking a moment to talk about what they could see, hear and feel. They also gathered around a map of Warrington, using it to help plan and follow their route — a wonderful opportunity to develop early geography skills, awareness of their surroundings and problem‑solving abilities.
The highlight of the trip was visiting a local shop, where each child chose their very own sticker. They took turns waiting patiently, walked up to the till and paid for their item themselves — showing incredible confidence, independence and pride in what they were doing. Their behaviour in the shop was fantastic, and they used their listening ears beautifully throughout the whole outing.
Trips like this help our Early Learners practice so many valuable skills, including:
We are so proud of how well they represented our nursery and for the maturity they showed while out in the community.
Well done, Early Learners of The Willows Nursery — you were amazing!
