This afternoon, the children at Evolution Childcare Blackbrook had an exciting creative session designing their brand‑new hometime bears! The activity was made even more special with the introduction of a brand‑new air‑brush colouring tool, which instantly captured the children’s curiosity.

Each child had the opportunity to explore the air‑brush pen, taking turns and receiving a little guidance from Molly as they learned how to control this new piece of equipment. They showed fantastic hand‑eye coordination, carefully moving the pen around the soft, fluffy bears to add colour and patterns just the way they imagined them.

As the children experimented, they began to notice how colours blended and changed when they layered them together. They confidently named the colours they were using and commented on the transformations they saw, helping to develop their communication and language skills. It was wonderful to hear them using new and expressive vocabulary such as “air brush,” “whoosh,” “mist,” and “fluffy!”

The activity encouraged creativity, fine motor development, and rich conversation—resulting in a collection of beautifully designed, personalised hometime bears that the children were incredibly proud of. What a lovely, hands‑on experience to support their imagination and learning!
