Our Reception class have had such an exciting experience over the past few weeks looking after some caterpillars in our classroom! 🐛🌿
The children loved watching them grow and change each day, learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly. After forming their chrysalises, we patiently waited for the amazing moment when they finally emerged as beautiful butterflies 🦋✨
On Friday, our Reception children at The Stables Nursery joined together with the Early Learners to release the butterflies into the wild. It was a lovely experience for the children to see the butterflies spread their wings and fly away into their new home.
The project has helped the children learn about nature, caring for living things, and the wonderful changes that happen in the world around us. We are so proud of how gentle, caring, and excited the children have been throughout this special journey! 💛
