This week our babies at Kalgarth Nursery have had the most spook-tacular time celebrating Halloween!
Our little ones have been diving into a world of spooky sensory exploration, getting hands-on with themed sensory trays filled with different textures, colours, and exciting surprises. From squishy, slimy textures to crunchy and soft materials, the babies explored using their hands and fingers, developing their sensory awareness while building confidence in a safe and playful environment.
Pumpkin decorating has been a definite highlight! The children loved painting, sticking, and adding their own creative touches to their pumpkins. Watching their faces light up as they explored bright oranges, spooky shapes, and fun decorations was simply magical. These creative activities not only sparked imagination but also helped to strengthen fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
We’ve also been busy creating some fantastic Halloween artwork, using a variety of materials to make witches, spiders, bats, and little monsters. Through mark-making, painting, and sticking, the babies have been expressing themselves in their own unique ways — and we think their masterpieces are truly boo-tiful! 🧙♀️🧛♂️🧟♀️
It’s been a week full of laughter, learning, and lots of messy fun. We’re sure you’ll agree it looks like everyone had an absolutely fang-tastic time at Kalgarth Nursery! 👻✨
