Our toddlers at Kalgarth Grange Nursery have been having the most wonderful time exploring their brand‑new Gruffalo story sack! Their imaginations came alive the moment they opened it up.
The children excitedly tried on the different character masks, giggling as they transformed into the Gruffalo, the mouse, the owl, the fox and the snake. Using the props, they explored the story in their own playful way—acting out their favourite parts, repeating key phrases and chatting about all the animals they could spot.
They loved talking about where the characters live, how they move, and what makes each one special. Some of our toddlers even created their own versions of the story, bringing the props together in creative and funny ways!
The story sack encouraged so much language development, imaginative play and confidence, all while keeping the magic of The Gruffalo alive in our room.
A truly delightful adventure in the deep, dark wood!
